A note about why we charge for tickets:  Our goal is to hold High Holyday services in a manner that offers enough room for all our members and guests to pray together in a comfortable, accessible location.  Our members, who generously support our Temple year round, also absorb the overwhelming cost of High Holyday services.  To help defray the remaining costs, we ask non-members who are able to do so to please contribute by purchasing tickets.  Please note, however, that we do not turn anyone away for lack of funds so please contact the Temple office if you have any concerns.

  •  The cost of a non-member ticket can later be applied towards Temple Sinai membership if you decide to join before the end of the calendar year.
  • We do not want finances to stand in the way of anyone joining us for services or from participating in our community.  Please contact the Temple office if you have any questions or concerns about ticket costs.
  • Full-time college students and those actively serving in the armed forces are invited to attend services at whatever donation amount they wish to make.
  • Reciprocity - If you are currently a member of another Reform synagogue you may attend our services at no charge.  To receive such tickets, please have a “reciprocity letter” sent in advance directly from your home synagogue.  Reciprocity letters may be faxed to us (510) 465-0603.
  • Tickets are not required for children who are below 4th grade.  Please see our schedule of services for a list of options for morning childcare (3 months to 4 years old), morning children’s programs (Kindergarten through 3rd grade) and our afternoon family-friendly children’s services.
  • Contributions for High Holyday tickets are tax-deductible and non-refundable.
